Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Check out Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The purpose of the David Westphall Veterans Foundation is to honor U.S. military members and veterans. The Foundation does this by supporting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Angel Fire and the adjacent Angel Fire State Veterans Cemetery. The Foundation honors the sacrifices veterans have made for their country, and educates Americans about the responsibilities of citizenship and the high costs of freedom.
Cimarron Canyon State Park
The Cimarron River flows through this narrow, forested canyon, located near Eagle Nest on the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway.
The park offers beautiful views, interesting geology, quiet camping, fly fishing, hiking, and equestrian trails. The wildlife viewing opportunities are amazing, as the park sits at the center of the Colin Neblett Wildlife Management Area.
Colin Neblett State Wildelife Area
The Colin Neblett State Wildlife Area is a small protected area located in the northern region of the US state of New Mexico. The rugged and mountainous landscape in the wildlife area is home to 6 named peaks. The tallest peak in the wildlife area is Touch-Me-Not Mountain at 12,044 ft (3,671 m) in elevation and the most prominent peak is Bunkhouse Bare Point with 2,927 ft (892 m) of prominence.
Eagle Nest Visitor Center and Gateway Museum
Enchanted Circle Gateway Museum is a project of Sangre de Cristo Communities Interacting; an IRS 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our purpose is to educate visitors in local history and to preserve and protect items of historical importance and act as the visitor center for the Village of Eagle Nest.
Eagle Nest State Park
At 8,200 feet in elevation, Eagle Nest Lake State Park offers a cool retreat from the summer heat for fishermen, boaters, campers, hikers, and wildlife enthusiasts. An abundance of animals makes Eagle Nest Lake an ideal location for wildlife viewing. Known for fishing and it’s a serene setting, we welcome you to visit this glacial valley park.
This park offers developed campsites with fire grills, picnic tables, and a shade structure for your comfort. The park is known for its opportunities in birding, hiking, biking, paddling and fishing.
This alpine lake park is located on the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway and is surrounded by the stunning scenery of the high mountains of the Moreno Valley, including views of Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico.
